On December 16, 2014, Peshawar suffered a terrorist attack that shook the conscience of not only the nation but the entire world. 132 children and 11 Staff members were killed in cold blood by Tehreek-e-Taliban in an unjustifiable act that crossed all limits of human decency. First there was shock, and then there was despair. The despair quickly turned into anger, as the whole nation struggled to collect itself after losing its most valuable innocent assets. What was their crime? Being associated with those that fought for our nation’s well being. It soon became evident that the nation would retaliate in a common voice as all institutions and segments of Pakistan society stood united in anger and defiance of the terrorists. This video- edit captures the emotions we have faced over the past few days. WE WILL FIGHT BACK. WE ARE NOT SCARED ANYMORE. We will have our Vengeance. All clips have been taking from Youtube Channels of the following Entities 1. Geo News 2. Dunya News 3. BBC News 4. Democracy Now 5. Reuters 6. AFP 7. The Young Turks 8. Pakistan Army (Unofficial) 9. Others Music: 1. Vengeance by Zack Hemsey LEGAL DISCLAIMER: This entire montage is made under protection of Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, in which allowance is made for fair use purposes, in this case being comment and research. Additionally, this video is for non-profit, educational and personal purposes. The video satisfies the 4-Part criteria for Fair Use. 1- Purpose and character of the use is educational and transformative to the extent that the original source videos have been used to change the context of the whole video. The purpose of the original clips that were used for news reporting have been severely transformed into a hyper- nationalistic edit based on Pakistans fight against the Pakistan Taliban, a purpose that completely disassociated and unique from the original news reporting clips. 2. The nature of the copyrighted work (news reporting) is different from the nature of this edit (promotional, opinionated). The work is in no way trying to be objective in its analysis as the original clips are, as they are stating statements of facts in relation to real time news coverage of the awful events in Peshawar on December 16. Rather this video takes those clips, merges them with soundtrack music and adds additional clips from many different sources to make an opinionated edit on what is right for Pakistan in its war against terror. 3. The amount and substantiality of the portion of the original work used is varied, with no single source being predominant in its application towards the video. No specific news source has been used for more than 10 seconds, thereby making the work transformative and not igniting a copyrighted work to the extent that the work is an unimaginative rip off rather than an original source content. 4. The effect of this work, unlike the copyrighted material, is not to portray a news event. Rather, it has been transformed to promote a narrative for a State (IPakistan) in relation to its fight against extremism with the help of vast footage covering many different social facets in many different capacities. Since there is no single definitive copyright material covering such different topics, there is no specific violation of any single source as the video-edit on a whole is a combination of a plethora of different narratives covering decades to make its own unique narrative.
