On Friday nights, I drink a glass of I wine in my back yard with the intention of relaxing. Tonight started that way, until I remembered the massive bunch of tomato sprouts that randomly showed up in my garden, which are now 2 ft tall, desperately needing transplanting and a second chance. Even though 1. Theyre way late in the season, 2. Who knows what previous plant/fallen tomato they came from, 3. Chances of transplanting in mid-July being successful are slim to none, I could NOT throw them in compost. So I now have tomato plants strewn about every open space into garden and ever planter sitting on my deck. All done in the (almost) dark. Party on Wayne! Tomato soup/juice/sauce, anyone?! (We can add vodka!). ;p
