On Friday, we had a DV (Distinguished Visitor) at my work. Pearl Harbor Survivor : BG Robert Morris Hardaway III. Although he was not at Pearl Harbor during the attack he played a significant role saving lives at Schofield Barracks, as he was a surgeon. There was not a dry eye in the audience. He explained how truckloads of soldiers were being brought in, how he did surgery while hearing artillery pierce through the buildings and windows. Not knowing if his wife was still alive. He explained during the night, he had to continue during surgery through the night under a blanket with a flashlight in order to not show any lights/life in case the planes came over again. God Bless our country and our service men & women. Please take a moment to remember those lost during the attack, as well as those who survived. Love your family, no one knows what tomorrow holds.
