On Fridays Sport Today programme, you will hear from the South African wheelchair racer Ernst van Dyk, who has won the mens wheelchair race at the Boston Marathon 9 times. He was second in Boston a year ago, and was waiting to cheer home athletes connected with one of his charities when the bombs went off. He speaks to our Athletics Commentator Ed Harry about how the bombs have led to increased security at all marathons, and how that is changing what a marathon is - changes that sadden him. Make sure to tune in to this emotive interview at 1530 GMT on the BBC World Service - bbcworldservice - but in the meantime, here is a short clip of van Dyk expaining how the incident at the Boston Marathon last year changed him.
