On July 7th during the Saba saba rally, the goverment deployed about 15,000 security offices at Uhuru park to ensure that there was no violence. Currently Mombasa and the Coastal region is experiencing insecurity with explosives from time to time. From Aug 2nd to 13th, Mombasa will be hosting the the 88th edition of the Kenya National Music Festivals. About 25,000 students from different primary schs, secondary schs colleges and universities will be in Mombasa to showcase their talents and embrace cultures from different communities in Kenya en Africa. There are about 15 schs that will be hosting this students. Why dont the Govt deploy security officers in this schools and even along the roads and the venue of the performances, just as security offices were every where in Nairobi during the saba saba. We us trainers and teachers of different schools here in Nairobi are really getting it difficult as most parents have refused to gve permission to their sons en daughters with the fear of insecurity at the Coast.We need to be asured of security. Equally, the lives of this young students is more important than any others considering what they will be doing.
