On Monday May 12th at 1:00 AM our family lost our home. It was the first home my wife and I bought together; it was the home we brought our daughter to after leaving the hospital; it was in most aspects our dream home. In the space of an hour it was destroyed. What followed was one of the most over whelming displays of generosity and support from a community that I have ever witnessed. Neither Shasta nor I have the capacity to adequately thank the people of Sioux Lookout, we will be forever grateful for the donations and out pouring of assistance as well as all of your kind words and prayers. We are truly proud to be apart of this amazing community. Thank you! We would also like to thank Rob Favot, and all the volunteer firefighters. We suspect that firefighting is a thankless task, so on behalf of the community thank you for all your hard work and dedication. This experience has been life changing for our family in many positive ways. It has given us the opportunity to reevaluate our lives and focus on what is most important in life - family, friends and community.
