On Monday, November 3, 2014, the Pickens County School District honored the systems Teachers of the Year with a special banquet held at Chattahoochee Technical College. Each the teachers were chosen by peers at their school, completed an extensive application process and were interviewed by a panel of community representatives. This panel had the incredible task of choosing one of these outstanding teachers to be Pickens Countys Teacher of the Year. This year the teacher nominated to represent Pickens County at the State level and named the countys Teacher of the Year was Kelly Weaver. Kelly works at Jasper Elementary School. Congratulations to Kelly and all of the other teachers! Our district is very proud to have among its staff some of the best teachers in Georgia.
