On Oct 5, 2012 I started a Blog with this post: This is me…Husband, father and plumber. I love my life! The good, the bad and the ugly, and everything in between. I have a great wife, two amazing children, two dogs that drive me crazy at times (but so do my wife and kids) and a job that I truly enjoy. I need nothing, but I want more. We work hard for what we have and we take pride in what we have accomplished in our lives. Life is good, bumps and all. About a year and a half ago I was missing something, even though I didn’t realize it at that time. I signed up for a basic photography class so I could learn what all those different settings on my new camera did. OK, I took the class so I could take better pictures on purpose and not have to wait for that all elusive “Lucky” shot. In this class, taught by an old high school classmate of mine, we learned the basics of digital photography…shutter speed, aperture, white balance and so on. With my new found knowledge I began to explore the world around me and attempted to capture it. But with all this new knowledge the thing that I will remeber the most is what my instructor said every class…”Look at things differently”. So I began looking at things, every day things, and I began to see things differently. Not just from a different angle but from a different perspective. I do not consider myself a photographer or an artist. I am just a plumber with a camera who is having one hell of a time trying to capture what I see differently. Cheers
