On October 26, Ukraine held a snap parliamentary election. For eligible Ukrainians living in Canada, polling stations were open in Ottawa and Toronto. With 100% of the ballots counted, the results are nothing short of appalling. The neo-Nazi parties Right Sector and Svoboda received 15.18% and 13.68% respectively. These are the same parties directly responsible for the Odessa massacre and the numerous atrocities in Donbass. This is by far their best result in all the regions where voting took place. While only a tiny portion of the Ukrainian diaspora voted, the fact that over a quarter of those who did vote support the neo-Nazi ideology is very telling.
