On Saturday October 11, 2014 the Douglas County Sheriffs Office served a search warrant on a residence on CR 303. The search warrant was a result of a drug investigation conducted by Deputy Dakota Mings and Deputy Gabe Stroud. At the time the search warrant was served during the early morning hours of October 11, 2014 three subjects were taken into custody. The renter, Vincent Adkins age 35 of Ava, was currently on Probation and Parole for crimes he had committed in Taney County. Probation and Parole was contacted and a P&P warrant has been issued for Vincent Adkins for him violating his probation. Formal charges have been requested through the prosecutor’s office for two counts of Distribution/Possession of a Controlled Substance. Numerous items were seized during the search warrant to include methamphetamine and surveillance cameras and equipment. This has been an ongoing investigation over the last several months Sheriff Degase advised. Additional charges are expected.
