On Saturday, a production team from The Raynham Channel shot a segment on the Chappy ferry for a New England travel program the channel produces. Maintenance manager and occasional captain Erik Gilley toured the film crew up and down the harbor entrance aboard the ON TIME II and answered a few questions about what it takes to keep the two ferries in good running order. Well let you know when this program on Edgartown, the Vineyard and the ferry airs. We gather The Raynham Channel shares the show with cable-access channels all over the state, and of course it will be available on line. Heres a few snapshots of the team at work on what proved to be a lovely day along the waterfront.
