On Saturday and Sunday of last week, President Dastmozd attend the American Association of Community Colleges, 94th Conference in Washington DC. He also attended the Diversity Commission and was a presenter hosted by the Council for Study of Community Colleges, focusing on Accountability. Our students are truly spectacular! Last week, the Beta Xi Alpha chapter of Phi Theta Kappa inducted 33 new students. The Beta Xi Alpha chapter at Saint Paul College was charted in 2005. It has achieved five-star status, the highest chapter status obtainable, for two years running. Congratulations to new inductees and to Beta Xi Alpha! Tomorrow at the 2014 All-Minnesota Academic Team Banquet, two students will be recognized as outstanding students by Phi Theta Kappa. Congratulations! This week President Dastmozd met with four new faculty to talk about their teaching experience. He also met with a community member regarding an Everybody In project and the President and Provost from Dunwoody College. President Dastmozd attended a Minnesota Philanthropy Partners Board Orientation, the 2014 All-Minnesota Academic Team Banquet, and participated in a Leadership St. Paul Panel discussion. On Friday afternoon he left for the 2014 NCA-HLC Annual Conference in Chicago.
