On September 11, 2001 I had packed my bag and ready to drive to Manhattan that afternoon for my usual three days stay in NYC. My first indication that something was wrong was when I called a client about meeting once I arrived in the City. He cursed at me and said did I not know what was going on? (I did not). Then, a shareholder of my company called and asked if I was scheduled to be in NYC "do not come" he said. "It is very bad". What the HELL is going on? I could not get any of the news sites to come up on my computer so I tried MarketWatch... In a little box I saw smoke billowing from one of the towers. The caption read live WTC, My God. My cellphone rang and it was my wife asking where I was. I said I had not even left for NY yet... She said the teachers had told the children what was happening and that our kids were crying and hysterical since they thought I was in NYC.
