On September 22, this years Human Dimension Implementation Meeting (HDIM) begins in Warsaw. The conference is the largest annual conference on human rights in Europe, and a highlight of the work of the OSCEs third dimension. HDIM is unique in that it brings together both government representatives and civil society organizations from across the OSCE area to see how governments live up to their commitments in human rights and democracy. This years HDIM, both the formal discussions and the more informal side events will largely be dominated by issues related to the Russian aggression against Ukraine. The agenda is long and spans two weeks. Issues that will be discussed include media freedom, freedom of assembly, the rule of law, equality, tolerance and non-discrimination. Sweden is represented by leaders from the Government Offices, as well as from the OSCE Delegation in Vienna.
