It was an ANC President (Mandela) who was in Government and my president that agreed on a skewed reconciliation that I don’t agree with that favoured ‘whites’, which has led now to a constitutionally entrenched economic disparity and I did not like it but I vote ANC. Mandela therefore gave us this skewed reconciliation in which whites on aggregate remain more important for reasons I still dont know. Because Mandela attempted building a common identity of a South African nevertheless. It was an ANC President (Mbeki) who gave us the ARMS DEAL and HIV - DENIALIST (that as many claim many innocent people died) and patronage claims and I kept voting ANC. Because Mbeki in all of that took us forward in defining our democracy in institutional embrace. Mbeki regardless to being accused as a racist, by the very ones who all of a sudden sings his praise, build on that which Mandela attempted and gave this nation an institutional inheritance that ensures the very rights of those who condemned him as racist is safe-guarded. It is the same Mbeki who put SA in presence of African thinking and future a vision in the International arena. Now in this season, it is an ANC President (Zuma) in this epoch that gave us a Guptagate (whatever that mean) and an Nkandla because it took place in his term of office, and guess what I still will vote ANC. Because Zumas leadership has fixed the mess of the HIV denialist state, our life expectancy has increased to over 60 again where it once teetered on 49. It is Zuma who delivers on the education mandate in increasing numbers, it Zuma who has seen the ANC grow. It is under this administration that delivery is taking place and SA has finally a National Development Plan for 50years. It is under Zuma that we engaging in BRICS presence and have a made an undeniable mark in context of international presence. What cannot be denied under the Zuma delivery is taking place. Now you ask me if I am angry with Nkandla, yes I am annoyed. Yet my anger cannot negate the aggregate not withstanding all the wrongs at personal or organisational and government levels, remains favourable to a democracy I owe to a Movement I did not join in 1990 but was raised in. So I can never be angry with the ANC, I can be disappointed with Mandela Mbeki, (Motlanthe) and Zuma and many other leaders for a variety of reasons but the ANC is my movement. I along with my family will vote again for our Movement come May 7, because we have a 20 year long GOOOOOOOD Story to tell nevertheless. I do not vote ANC because of Mandela, Mbeki Zuma or who else, I do not even vote ANC for the sake of Luthuli, Pixley Ka Seme or anyone before. I do not vote ANC because I believe in one or other faction because for me there is one ANC, My vote cannot be out of anger, I cannot be out of emotion, and I fought too hard to vote in anger, to disrespect my own liberation struggle to go to an election confused, like Ronnie Kasrils and his ilk. I vote for what I have seen, lived through and hope in destiny of a future, the same we have begun to build though not easy. Therefore, I vote ANC whether Luthuli House burns down, and all Top 5 may disappoint me for whatever reason. I am not tied to a person but to a Movement. • I VOTE NOT BECAUSE I WANT TO PUNISH THE DA, OR ANY OF THE OTHER 160 SMALLER OPPOSITION PARTIES, I VOTE ANC NOT BECAUSE I AM ANGRY WITH ANY PERSON IN ANOTHER PARTY OR GROUP. • I VOTE ANC NOT BECAUSE I WANT TO TEACH OTHER PARTIES A LESSON. • I VOTE ANC NOT BECAUSE I AM A STOOGE OR BLIND IN LOYALTY, I VOTE ANC BECAUSE IT IS CONFIRMED THAT SA IS A BETTER PLACE TODAY THAN THE TIME WHEN SPECIAL BRANCH MEMBERS LOOKED FOR ME AND I WAS DENIED TO USE BLANKE TOILETS.
