On Sunday, September 7, 2014, at approximately 5:55PM, a suspect entered the Circle K Store at 330 Veterans Boulevard and requested change of a bill. The worker opened the register and the suspect forcibly took cash from it. The suspect fled to a Chevrolet S-10 truck, operated by a second person and both fled in the truck. Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) research revealed the suspect vehicle was as listed below. 1995 Chevrolet S-10 truck, green in color, bearing Louisiana license plate X993281. There is a spare tire in the bed of the truck. This vehicle is registered to Wesley Ruffino, white male, date of birth 10-07-1993, residing at 1317 Green Avenue, Saint Bernard. The vehicle has been listed in NCIC and the ALPR system as a felony vehicle wanted in connection with a simple robbery. Thus far, efforts to locate the vehicle have met with negative results. Pictures of the suspect’s vehicle and the suspects are attached. Anyone locating the vehicle or recognizing the suspects is asked to contact the JPSO Robbery Section at 504 364-5376.
