On Thursday Nick and I went to Vancouver for a course on installing Living Roofs One foot square pre grown interlocking trays of low growing plants that form a carpet on either flat or sloping roofs. Its the latest thing to save the planet I washed my hands and pointed at the Pacific Ocean and saw the lights of Blaine,Washington, USA. Had fish and chips at Charlie Surf and stayed at Nicks Moms apartment in White Rock. It rained heavily all the time we were there. We also visited Nicks Grandfather Bill Vander Zalm the retired Premier of British Columbia and had a tour of his nursery followed by tea and cookies. The course was held at NaTs nursery in Langley( natsnursery/ ). We are now certified to install these high end living roofs.
