On Tuesday 29 October 2013 the North Gauteng High Court ordered that the contracts of 32 soldiers be renewed. This followed an attempt by the SANDF management to terminate these members contracts without fair process or reason. SANDU assisted these SANDU members to save their jobs and protect them from the employers unfair actions. This case proves again that a soldier needs a union, no one else can or will protect a soldiers rights better than SANDU can. Please do not play with your career, join the union now. The employer has tried for the past 2 months to intimidate, threaten and harass soldiers to not join SANDU and or to resign from SANDU. The employer knows that when you are not unionised, it can try all kinds of dirty tricks on your career regarding promotions, transfers, pay and dismissals. Do not be fooled. Your only protection is SANDU.
