On Tuesday, November 4th the voters of the City of Waterville will decide candidate races for the Kennebec Water District, City Councilors for Wards 2, 4 & 6, School Board seats for Wards 2, 4 & 6, Warden and Ward Clerk positions, and whether to adopt the changes to the City Charter proposed by the Charter Commission. State Statute requires a minimum vote equal to at least 30% of the votes cast at the last Gubernatorial Election for the vote on the City Charter amendments to be valid, which is 1,634 votes. State Referendum questions to be decided include a citizen initiative regarding bear hunting and six (6) bond issues relating to agriculture, small business, genetic research, biotechnology, clean water and marine resources. All Waterville voters can cast ballots at the VFW Bourque-Lanigan Post #5 American Legion, 21 College Avenue, from 8AM-8PM on November 4th.
