On a soap box: Seriously angry at a man with his two Labradors in my neighbourhood. The one came through my open side gate - to the canal slide of the house, barked at my cat inside my bedroom. (Thank goodness the screen door was closed!) Cat looking like a toilet-brush all over as it dashed into the garage for safety!!!! Then I went outside to see what was going on, and his other dog runs up to me, heckles up and barking at me - on my own front lawn...Dog was shouted at sternly and dropped begging forgiveness, but the stupid dog owner goes - oh Im sorry. They the dog who was barking inside my yard comes out and jumps up on me to say hello. The owner still hadnt put the first one on a leash yet either, still running circles around him!! Im an animal lover but when did it become okay to have dogs that size off their leashes in suburbia? Especially when they dont listen to him! This is the second time I have had a run in with these same dogs on my property... last time it was annoying, but after the apology I thought the man wouldnt do it again. I was wrong. I know that the unbuilt block next door is nice to exercise dogs on, and generally lots of people in the neighbourhood do, an I have no problem with one at a time, controlled well mannered animals being exercised there - but he doesnt control these dogs. Someone or one of my cats will be hurt by those dogs one of these day - and I seriously dont want that to happen!!!! Spitting mad but getting off my soap box now...
