On behalf of my family, I would like to thank each and everyone that has offered their support to my father through these difficult times. We are truly overwhelmed with the support shown by family, friends, numerous ambassadors as well as both the local and international community. It is with your support that we are able to stay strong and have faith. This man has made it his lifes mission to fight for Human Rights and fair treatment of the oppressed, not only in Sudan but the rest of the world. His dedication to see a peaceful and just Sudan has never faded, even if it came at the expense of his health, his safety and his freedom. Although we are deeply concerned for his health and well being as he suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes, we hold our heads up high because we are extremely proud of his courage to continue the fight even at 75 years of age and when most people have simply given up hope. His cowardly and illegal arrest is proof that this government has no intentions of holding peaceful negotiations to save this sinking country and will do whatever it takes to stay in power. The laws and constitution are disregarded, the hypocrisy of their ruling and the customisation of the Islamic shariah laws to suit their needs is evident for all to see but more importantly, they seem to forget that Allah sees everything. Please keep him and Mr. Farouq Abu Issa in your prayers. May Allah grant them their wish of seeing a peaceful, just and prosperous Sudan. اللهم انصرنا على القوم الظالمين! بتمشو وين من الله يوم الحساب؟!
