On day five and the final day of the commitment that Carol Sujatta - TopicsExpress

On day five and the final day of the commitment that Carol Sujatta nominated me for and thank you Carol for doing so! I am thankful for these three things: 1. Never thought Id say this but on further reflection...Im thankful for facebook and the other social media that I use. These services are pretty cool because Ive met some amazing people from around the world. People who I would have never known existed, had we not connected through these mediums. 2. Im thankful having a motorcycle as its such an awesome experience to ride. Ive rode i a lot of different places and countries and where ever it was...it was just awesome to be riding. I know, its dangerous. Trust me I know, this is why I never, ever have said to a friend why dont you get a motorcycle so we can go riding? I have had friends in the past who have got them because of me (not that I asked them to but they saw I liked riding) and have had some pretty serious accidents. Its not a good feeling that they were hurt. Ive had nurses Ive dated in the past tell me that i was fricken stupid or crazy (take your pick) to ride because they have seen the results of people coming into the hospital after an accident....not pretty the way they described it and some didnt arrive alive. I still ride. Im not a speed demon I ride for the pure enjoyment of being in the now. There is a book called Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance that i wasnt all that impressed by but here was a part (the only part) that I remember that said, and I paraphrase, Riding in a car you look through the windows and its like looking at the scenery via your TV set...its kinda the same frame. Riding a motorcycle is really different...you arent looking through any frames because you are a part of the scenery What can I say, its true! 3. Im thankful for all the people who touched my heart at some point and left a lasting impact. Im kind of a stubborn guy (quite now for all those who know me. I know your chomping at the bit to remark on my wall about this comment.) so when someone touches my heart I may not tell you right away but i will at some point and you can know that I will always remember. These are the kind of things I never forget. This has happened from many people like my mother, sister niece and nephew as well as significant others, close friends and even strangers. Yes Ive had strangers touch my heart and make me think...wow, what an amazing world we truly live in. Not saying the world is always awesome (usually peoples beliefs and attitudes) and doesnt suck, Im just saying to make life worthwhile, its all about what you focus on. I would rather focus on those movements that took my breath away due to the awesomeness factor and feel that warm sensation expanding my heart centre totally open. Its a mind blowing, higher high than any drug or stimulant Ive ever taken! #grateful #thankful
