On my journey this morning I took the short route and forgot to turn my app on to measure my mileage till about a 1/4 of the way there.It was funny that I forgot to turn it on, cause I always remember. But any who I went to a mens reunion group this morning and we had a good little turn out from Emmaus, some away already for Holiday. We was going through our emmaus card and I got down to the pont of studying and journal. I am not a fancy writer, but the bible school class I am in requires that I enter what I have read daily, and how long I pray for and what my prayer requests are. What is the purpose of Journaling?? What is accomplished through it? What benefits you from Journaling? Do you Journal? I came home from my mens meeting reunion group and out of curiosity I looked up the word Remember it appears in the Bible 167 times. We remember very well how the Israelite s complained when the Lord had Moses lead the children out of Egypt Deut 8:2-5 Keep and live out the entire commandment that I’m commanding you today so that you’ll live and prosper and enter and own the land that God promised to your ancestors. Remember every road that God led you on for those forty years in the wilderness, pushing you to your limits, testing you so that he would know what you were made of, whether you would keep his commandments or not. He put you through hard times. He made you go hungry. Then he fed you with manna, something neither you nor your parents knew anything about, so you would learn that men and women don’t live by bread only; we live by every word that comes from God’s mouth. Your clothes didn’t wear out and your feet didn’t blister those forty years. You learned deep in your heart that God disciplines you in the same ways a father disciplines his child. I had gone back just on the journals I have posted on here and looked back since I started this class and see how the Lord answered prayer, cause me to grow as looked back to see some areas of weakness in my life and to show the strengths of today and the hopes if I submit deeper to the Lord for my tomorrows, So I encourage you to journal if you do not do it. Come this time next year, take that time just not at thanksgiving but every day and reflect on the work of the hands of the Lord. Amen!
