On my way to work tonight. ...as I was driving on 390....I witnessed fire trucks on all the over passes. As I got closer to the city I noticed lots of flashing lights. I pulled over... (on the expressway) and stood with another man and paid my respects as the RPD escorted officer Pierson home. It was very emotional. Im glad I pulled over. ..and watched all the police cars with their lights goin. The man next to me took his hat off and placed it over his heart....and he was crying. And all the traffic of ppl goin home from work we slowly driving behind. My heart goes out to his family and all of his fellow officers.
