On now...Channel 4 - Nigel Farage: Who Are You? Great fun, and very enlightening as regards the many various organs that make up the EU. Nobody seems to know the purpose of the existence of the many varied bodies that make up the whole, or even know about some of them at all. Yet the decisions they make have far-reaching consequences for all. One thing that just came out was that the European Commision creates laws in private (it is unelected) that the massive spaceship-like chamber of the European Parliament or whatever it is have no right to chuck out or repeal, but basically just sanction. Former #Labour leader #NeilKinnock to the fore, arguing furiously in favour of it all and, like former European Commissioner #PeterMandelson with every reason to support it given that they have fat EU pensions pending that would become null and void should they denigrate the EU in any way. Is this buying people, as they perhaps have done countries through funding (and now debt management)? The whole thing gives me the impression that I am watching the latter series of Star Wars, filmed years later but as parts 1, 2 and 3, with all the machinations and deceit within the Senate. I care for it not.
