On the 10th May 2013 following a routine opticians appointment it was confirmed that my 7 year old sister had a brain tumour called pilocytic astrocytona, she underwent surgery to remove as much of the tumour as possible which has resulted in her being blind in her right eye. It wasnt possible to remove the whole tumour as this would have resulted in Macy being blind in both eyes. Macy is now 6 months into her 18 months of chemotherapy, during her treatment candlelighters charity have been amazing for Macy and all of our family so on the 20th July my brother John Moran, cousins Gemma Connor, Jake Dalton and Leanne Stapley and family friend Ben Austin are running the Leeds 10k to raise money for the candlelighters charity.
