On the eve of horrific attacks on army camps in Uri District of Kashmir, I had been browsing through Kashmiri News Platforms on purpose to record the reaction of Natives. The following are the Snapshots from two news portals of the region namely Kashmir Dispatch and Kashmir Monitor. To make sure that none of the abusive user was a Pakistan National, I personally checked up each of the subjects profile. To my astonishment, all the subjects hailed from the Indian territory of Jammu and Kashmir and were either students or technocrats. Some were even studying in premiere institutes of the country like NIT Raipur. So why is it that these people have so much venom against India. To the extent that they celebrate the martyrdom of Indian Army men who had been there to maintain peace! They are being treated and respected like an ordinary Indian. They are not facing any kind of hostility for practicing their religion unlike the terrorist country they are glorifying! In one of the comments, one of the Native has even exhibited support towards the 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed! Dont you think before investing enormous capital and Manpower on the disputed state, we need to ask ourselves that who are these people we are draining all our taxpayers money on ? I know losing Kashmir will be a major loss to India, but it wont be fatal, for the state contributes in absolutely no way to strengthen the Indian Economy. On the other hand, think of Kashmir without India, azad Kashmir, as some call it! Kashmir does not have a single power station and natural reserves of minerals. Constructing a dam on high hills of Kashmir too is impossible. The state can not potentially rely on wind and solar energy either. The Nation they lookup to only has money for terrorism. Their own lands are deprived of electricity and basic amenities. In short, if Indian forces were to withdraw from Kashmir today, young Kashmiris who are now protesting against the country that has given them everything will be found in the streets of Srinagar begging to strive! The country will soon topple and will be reduced to shreds in no time. Even if it merges with Pakistan, it wont have anything significant for its own! If India decides to give this as an answer to the Kashmiris who so want to break away from India, it will prove to be fatal for the state and its people! The dispute over Jammu and Kashmir needs to be resolved now! We have already spent millions of taxpayers fortunes and lost so much of precious lives to this dispute! As an Indian, I am deeply hurt to see so much of hatred against my country in hearts of those we have spent so much on, to the extent that they celebrate our loss. I pity these people, for they are evil enough to advocate the slaying of innocent men and women in Mumbai on the name of Jihad, for I dont know of a single terrorist attack on Pakistan that we Indians didnt mourn to! I would never have felt the urge to look this all up had I not been faced with a question a few years back. An innocent question asked to me by a little native girl on the banks of the furious Beas in Pehelgam. Aap India se aaye ho?
