On the evening of Tuesday, July 29 Mike and Team MHFH had the truly amazing opportunity to be welcomed by a large group of outstanding patriotic Americans who gathered at Southern Arizona Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, just outside of Ft. Hauchuca, Sierra Vista AZ to pay homage to our shared Heroes and the Gold Star Families from the local community. As the final notes of “Retreat” faded at dusk, Veterans, City Officials, Local Veterans Groups, as well as some outstanding Patriots from around Sierra Vista rallied inside the cemetery chapel at the base of the serene Huachuca Mountain range to connect with the team and celebrate the Legacies of our Heroes and the sacrifices made by their families. Mayor Mueller of Sierra Vista, recognized and introduced Team MHFH before Mike shared the story behind MHFH and the mission of our project. We were honored to have the opportunity to meet five amazing Gold Star Families who added the names of their Heroes to our flag. These courageous, humble and strong American families are the embodiment of what it means to sacrifice for our beloved country. They are the pride of America’s men and women who have given everything on behalf of a greater cause. Team MHFH cannot show our appreciation to these amazing Americans for the courage they exemplify and the strength that they represent everyday. We would also like to recognize CPT. Pat Muloy and his beautiful family for all of the hard work they put in on our behalf to make this event possible. Thank you for inviting us into your home for a warm meal and great conversation.
