On the first day of the new year a person contemplates issues he/she doesnt think about much during the rest of the year. For example, prior to the Second Vatican Council, January 1 was not only hangover day, but was celebrated by the Roman Catholic Church as the day Jesus had his foreskin cut off in accordance with Jewish tradition back then in the holy land. Id never thought about this issue before today, but a friends post prompted me to (semi) seriously consider the question of what happened to that small, but significant part of Gods body.
