On the highway, 2 hours from St Louis...seriously contemplating NOT returning after reading about whats going on! SERIOUSLY people!? What does any of this solve?? WHAT do you hope to accomplish by the rioting/looting/violent protests?? WHY is everyone so angry though? Yes, a young, black man was murdered by a white cop. But WHY are we so outraged by this incident, while we stand by in silence when our OWN PEOPLE KILL EACH OTHER EVERY SINGLE DAY! Where was the outrage just last week when a grandmother was gunned down while walking with her grandchildren? Blacks are killing blacks EVERYDAY? So were PISSED that a white man killed one of our own? Why?? We dont value our own lives, so how do we expect other people to value it? Be as passionate about the black on black crime in your own backyard if you really want to start a movement. I AM DISGUSTED....and hurt. Call me what you want, but THIS is why I moved my family away from the hood and to a community where there are fewer than a handful of my own people. To hell with trying to help my people and rebuild a community. I know it only takes one person to START a movement, but it takes so many more to see any real change. Ive lost faith in my people.
