On the way to the gym, just now, I passed three very drunken men staggering down the pavement in an S-shaped line. All three were carrying open bottles of wine. In addition to this, the first was wrapped in a naked, sparklingly-clean down duvet. The second was carrying balled up, plum sheets under his arm. The third bore three bare pillows (also brand-new) on his head like a large, lumpy hat. They looked pretty rough in a thin-faced, staggary sort of way. I asked them if they needed any help. The first, Mr Duvet, slurred, No thanks, love. Were getting on fine. I nodded and rode off.
