On this Thanksgiving Day, I will share three things for which I am so grateful. First, my wife. January makes twenty years weve been married. She is still the beautiful, affirming person I fell in love with. So many couples in our lives havent made it. I am so thankful our marriage is still in tact. Second, I am thankful for my children. They have made my life so happy. I love Judes sweet nature, Sawyers sassy spirit, and Abes sense of humor ( which he got from me, sorry). Finally, I am thankful for being a teacher. It wasnt until last year when I visited the Ron Clark Academy that I realized I was put on this earth to teach children. That is my purpose. Even with the craziness of mixed up schedules, data binders, PGES, and all the other stuff we deal with, I love my students, my crazy teacher friends, and that magic moment when they finally get it.
