On this day a few thousand years ago, Jesus, King of the Jews was crucified between two thieves. Six hours of terrible torture. After his death, Joseph of Arimathea (not the carpenter) and the wealthy Nikodemus (who later went on to learn about the resurrection process from Jesus) placed Jesus in a rock tomb. They said, What shall we call today to remember his death? Some drunk leaper shouted, How about, Good Friday? Are you taking the piss? Shouted the disciples but he waved to them that he wasnt and he waved so frantically that his arm fell off! So as nobody had any better ideas they left it at that. Two days later (on the third day and centuries before David Blaine), Jesus came back from the dead. Jesus stood on a rock in his sandy sandals stroking his beard and said, Mortals, hear this, from this day fourth, I want you all to remember these 3 days and so on this weekend, once a year, you shall buy lots of chocolate eggs and tell stories about bunny rabbits. In times yet to come make sure you tell your children... thou shall take photos of these eggs or rabbits or indeed chocky rabbit eggs, then go fourth and Tweet them for retweets or post them on Facebook if you like getting likes. The lord had spoken and so it was done.
