On this day, seven years ago, I received a call two hours before morning worship that would forever change my life. It was a call that our beloved choir director Donald Young had been killed, our Donald who we just saw a few days earlier at the choirs anniversary concert. I cannot adequately express how we got through that Sunday or the days to come, but I know that God gave us the grace and the strength to honor the man who truly embodied serving the Lord with gladness. There are those who make an indelible impact on your life like no other. Donald was one of those gifts from God.
