On way home this afternoon, I got caught right in the middle of the storm. I was around the high school and a tree or huge limb fell centimeters from my car. I had to slam on the brakes - branches were on the hood and power lines were waving around and falling on the car. I whipped it in reverse and drove to the end of the street. I jumped out and ran up to a house where two kids let me in. When there was a lull, I ran back to my car and the water was up to my knees! My shoe floated away, and I had to chase it. Dont know if Ive ever been that scared before!! Home safe now and miraciously the car doesnt seem to have a scratch on it...just coated in leaves.
