Once again, I feel I need to share this. Proverbs 14:34-"Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people." Why are we always complaining about how messed up our country is when we are constantly condoning actions that led us to the problems we are facing now? We have become a greedy nation. We should heed and focus on Matthew 6:24 that says, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (money). The Lord says to not center our lives around earthly possessions but around the heavenly treasure. Matthew 6:19-21, "19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." If we would put pleasing Him instead of ourselves as a top priority, our country would be on a better path.
