Once again we wake up to the horrendous treatment of Zimbabweans at Manzou in Mazoe.For a whole gvt to be clueless and helpless to the people of Manzou is the worst form of negligence and violation of human rights.The right to shelter and a place to call home is not a preserve of the first family and Zanu Pf.Whilst we respect the idea of restoring traditional sites we must not hide behind such abandoned projects when it is all clear that the land is required for private enterprise and to depopulate the area for the benefit of so called tourist to an orphanage.We are not against wildlife sanctuaries but Zanu Pf are the worst people to even speak of conservancies after the chaotic land reform and recent abuses of SAVE conservancy.One does not need to dig a huge hole to find out that there are different types of minerals at Manzou and those who looted Chiadzwa of diamonds are lining up to decimate Manzou.What is required is for people to be properly resettled close by where they can benefit from the proposed game park thru campfire and hunting concessions.If they are removed from Manzou the question is who benefits and with what interests.As clearly reported the land has ancestral history and in that regard it means history should be our greatest teacher and let the descendents of Mbuya Nehanda benefit.Land is abundant within Mazowe area and politicians have taken large swarthes of land that they are not even fully utilizing.In that vein it is prudent to also look at the option of downsizing farms and removing double allocation and a case where a family has more than one farm .In as far as these chefs gives farms to their children and nephews we run the risk of having a modern feudal system in Zimbabwe.We are with the people of Manzou and urge the courts to prosecute even the police if they are in contempt of court.The law should be respected and Advocate Dinha should be answerable for such a heinous crime of destruction of property and shelter.We remain steadfast and on shipmast of restoration and real empowerment as DARE .
