Once again when I think its safe to breathe, life happens. I can - TopicsExpress

Once again when I think its safe to breathe, life happens. I can deal with whatever comes my way when it involves me....but my children is a very different thing. Yesterday, I was up early preparing for a day of fun supporting Connor and the ROTC team. Then I got the frantic call...it was so much like the one I got in March when Ashley had her accident. Regan was at a leadership seminar in the boonies of Shelby County. We had talked Friday night and the cell service was terrible. Saturday morning, she woke up to excruciating abdominal pain. It was so severe, she briefly blacked out. She tried to call me, but couldnt get service. She woke her room mate up and she went to get help. The seminar was sponsored by Regans scholarship foundation. So there were people there she knew. Regan said she prayed for God to just let her get me on the phone and suddenly, briefly, she had 4G. I told her I was on my way, the problem, I had no idea where this conference center was and GPS didnt work out there. Then I got the call they were taking her to the hospital...As I flew down the interstate, there was a 6 car accident, 2 of the 3 lanes were blocked, the only clear lane was mine. Regan has a disorder that causes her to have seizures if she has blood drawn or IV put in. I was terrified this would happen before I could get to her. She asked them to please wait for her mama before they did this...So I was able to keep her distracted so they could draw blood. The tests showed that she had an ovarian cyst rupture and she has another smaller one still there. I spent last night watching her sleep. Shes still in pain and weak, but she will be alright. Once again, I am reminded just how fragile our lives are and how quickly, things can change. God had this from before he gave Regan 4G....I am so thankful that he kept his hand of protection over both my girls. He evidently thinks Im stronger than I really am though....cause this mama is really tired right now. Thank you to everyone who has called, texted, messaged and prayed. We didnt have service most of the day and night.
