Once you get away from Route 4 and Route 17, Paramus has nice, quiet residential neighborhoods. James Tedesco, candidate for County Executive, and Mayor LaBarbiera are working together to restore that neighborhood feeling for the residents surrounding the Petruska Park area off of Farview Avenue, who have had their neighborhood disrupted by 50,000 sq ft of county truck storage warehouses. Below are the pictures of what the buffer between the site and residential homes looked like before all the trees were cut down and how it looks now from the backyard of those houses backing onto the DPW property (and there are still leaves on the trees and bushes). Both the Mayor and Mr. Tedesco have pledged to work toward restoring the natural buffer, which was destroyed, while also trying to reduce the amount of traffic going into and out of the facility by finding an alternative way to access the site thru the Bergen Regional Medical Center.
