Ondo State Guber: We‘re Down, But Not Weakened Over S/Court Judgement ~ Sen. Boroffice The All Progressives Congress, APC, weekend, said the Supreme Court judgment on the governorship election in Ondo State, last week affected its members negatively, but insisted that their spirit would not be weakened. In a statement in Akure, the Senator representing Ondo North Senator Ajayi Boroffice, said, however, that “we must accept the decision of the court. “This judgment might have dampened our spirit but it has not weaken our determination to rescue our state from the clutches of poverty, mass unemployment, among others. ”Though we long for a change in agreement with the feelings of the people of Ondo State, the decision of the highest court of the land has not dispensed justice in this direction. “Leaders of our party, the professionals, and the people fought a good fight like gallant soldiers of progress. They spoke against policies that would not allow development in their communities. “You demanded character in leadership and agitated for good governance that will provide a launch-pad for a rapid industrial development of the state. ”We salute the courage of our governorship candidate, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) and his legal team in their unwavering commitment to clean poll. “You did not lose; you only set agenda for the new phase of activities for our great party in Ondo State. “Let us all remain focused in our resolve to produce a progressive government in which good governance and democratic institutions thrive to guarantee justice, equity and opportunities for our people. “We will continue to demand and insist on free and fair elections to ensure that the choices of our people are respected and reflected in their representation.”
