One Fire wood shed destroyed, , in a small fire incident in Wadar Bala village of Handwara town. Fire crews, Handwara Red Cross Committee, volunteers, & first aiders headed by Mir Imran and Syed Imtiyaz reached the area around 04:00 pm Saturday. Locals said that fire broke out at around 3 pm in the shed and engulfed another shed soon. There is a huge loss of property, but residents are safe,, locals informed the Handwara Fire Station about the incident. Because of long distance it became much difficult for them to reach the spot on time however they Fire tenders somehow reached the spot and doused the flames. Red Cross volunteers with Fire Rescue Services said the fire started in one shed and quickly spread to the other shed Next of it. Another neighbouring home suffered siding and smoke damage. “The fire just kept spreading, “said a local resident who lives just two doors down from the Shed that initially caught fire. “ Dozens of area residents gathered outside and watched helplessly as the homes went up in flames. “The smoke was getting pretty bad, The occurrence of the incident created panic in the entire area. The villagers who were outside the village came back rushing. Horror was clearly visible from their faces. There was no immediate report of any casualty. The cause of fire however is yet to be ascertained “The immediate action of the fire tenders and the local residents , red cross activists police and other Volnteers prevented the fire to spread any further and a major tragedy was averted, Mir Imran
