One bit of information from the NBC exit poll is useful to Indian Country. The headline of the poll is that Americans are in a sour mood. But then this nugget: Additionally, the exit poll data shows a growing perception that the U.S. economic system is unfair. Sixty-three percent of voters said they believe that it generally favors the wealthy, compared to 32 percent who say it is fair to most Americans. I think this could be the beginning of an interesting argument that tribes could make for better economic development and infrastructure funding.
