One clue, among several others I am now finding or considering - TopicsExpress

One clue, among several others I am now finding or considering along with what I already know, regarding what causes the emission and apsorption lines in relation to different elements, is that when red light is sent into a triangular prism only red comes out, is what I just read. I also noticed in some of the photos of light diffracting from prisms that the yellow band had more white than yellow in certain of those—very white. I have always wondered how yellow light could be lower energy (speed or frequency) than blue and green. Yellow has always seemed much closer to white than blue or green to me, but its farther down in the spectrum toward red. I need to buy a prism, apparently. If anyone knows that red entering a prism coming out red isnt correct then let me know. What I would like to know much more is what blue light sent into a prism comes out as.
