One item I created back in 3.5 as a sort of game changer was the Warforged Womb. It was an egg-shaped object made of darkwood fibers and mythril thread about the size of a docent. Using one was a three step process. 1. A form must be imprinted into the womb by taking a drop of blood from a target creature. 2. A warforged must attach the Womb as if it was a docent. Over the course of 1 day per hit dice of the target creature, the Womb will deal nonlethal damage equal to the level of the warforged it is attached to. 3. At the end of the energizing period, the Womb can be detached and set onto the ground, where it will expand in size over the course of 1 week per hit dice of the target creature to one size category larger than the target creature. After the incubation period is complete, a new creature will emerge from the Womb. It will be as the target creature, but with the living construct traits.
