One late October day, mid afternoon with fall in full bloom. The mighty oaks that dot the land have given their leaves back with a reason as nature so slowly evolves into another winter season. The old oaks are now upon us to see the home of squirrels within their limbs. We watch these creatures all summer long with barely a thought, but now the tress have shown us the home that they have built. The young oaks I can see, are still holding onto their bright colored leaves that glissen in the sun all day long. The evergreen, I sat and watched just one month ago, had developed a brown patchy symptom that looked like the blight. With fall full swing and cool days and nights, have brought them back to full green life. The leaves that had fall and doted out lawn, were all mulched by the mower and a strong breeze, they will be gone. there is just a whisper of thanks, way up in the sky, tis a beautiful day to be alive! WRITTEN BY DON, DATE UNKNOWN (found in drawer) One month ago today, you left this earth. Miss you dearly. RIP
