One lesson which many of us have learnt in life is that although we may be willing to make many sacrifices for the people who are important to us, we may not always receive the same level of loyalty in return. The greatest lesson taken from this is that for every sacrifice a servant makes for Allaah, He will recompense His servant with something better. If not in the dunya, be it in the akhirah. The most comforting thing is knowing that Allaah remains with us, regardless of whether we succeed in making those sacrifces.
