One man died in a crash Thursday morning on I-40 as he was trying to avoid a previous wreck on the same stretch of roadway. Authorities were working the first crash, between I-140 and Lovell Rd, where a Toyota struck a concrete median which threw the driver from the car. He was taken to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. During that incident, A Nissan Rogue hit a tanker truck which had been slowing for traffic due to the first crash. The Nissan’s driver was transported to Turkey Creek Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported in that wreck.
