Sadly, Julius Frederick Steuckert passed away last month, and this beautiful original oil-painting that he did ended up at the Salinas GoodWill today. I recognized the quality and brought it home to live with me, spending only a mere $15.00 for such a lovely piece. The pictures do NOT do it justice. Though someone in his family must have tossed it out with the garbage to be donated, I will cherish it. Especially knowing he was a WWII vet from Carmel. This piece of art is delightful! How someone could just toss it is beyond me!
