One might not normally think of praising God when one is passing - TopicsExpress

One might not normally think of praising God when one is passing kidney stones. When Ive had to pass them in the past they have been excruciatingly painful and accompanied by vomiting the entire contents+ of the stomach. I had been feeling as if a bout with kidney stones the past couple days, and this evening I warned Relmark that I might experience some problems tonite. It wasnt long afterwards that the pain began, so I told Rel to see if he could get some painkillers from the pharmacy. Here in the Philippines many medications can be requested over the counter without incident, but, fortunately for abuse reasons painkillers arent that easily dispensed. While he was gone the pain was forcing me to pray repeatedly to have the pain not be too intense and that it would pass quickly. By the time Rel had returned with two of my neighbors the pain had subsided, and by the time we all went to the hospital it was almost completely gone. My faith in prayers and Jesuss infinite powers continue to grow. Stone hasnt been passed yet, but the doctor prescribed painkillers should the pain return. Tomorrow ultrasound and lab work. Thank you Jesus for deadening the pain quickly. The visit cost me just over 600 pesos including medications. My lab work tomorrow will likely be another 400 pesos. The exchange rate is about 44 pesos to the dollar. Thats less than $25 total. Imagine what the cost in the U.S. would run.
