One of 2 things has to happen when playing a good team on the road. You have to play mistake free football or the other team has to screw up. The Packers didn’t screw up. In fact, with a hurt QB they played well. We missed a field goal at the end of the first half. Murray fumbled the ball on a WIDE open play that would have gone for 20+ yards. There were two fumbles that we caused that we didn’t recover. We had our chances and didn’t play mistake free football. It was a great game and the Packers deserved to win. As for the catch……. Everybody that has ever played football knows that was a catch. Everyone who saw Tom Brady fumble the ball against Oakland knows that it was a fumble (tuck rule). The NFL is always a little behind the curve (domestic violence, drug testing, concussions, etc.). They now have to look at the rules to accommodate the tremendous athletes that are now in the league. Calvin Johnson (his was a catch too), Odell Beckham, Larry Fitzgerald, and Dez Bryant can all make 1 handed catches and control the ball away from their bodies. The rule will be modified after the next great athlete makes a play and it’s reversed. It took them 15 years to change the tuck rule. As for Detroit….. Shut up and pay your bills. No one wants to hear from you. 1. Our play was on 4th down. Your play was on 3rd down. You had a 4th and 1 on our 46. You then punted 2. After the Detroit call, we still had to score a TD (converting a 4th down). After the Dez call we never saw the ball again. 3. Detroit got another possession and we made them fumble….. twice. 4. The refs missed the real call in the Detroit game (it was holding , not pass interference) 5. The Detroit player committed a facemask and/or a push off. Dez did nothing but make an exceptional play. 6. Our players, coaches, and owner handled it with class and didn’t blame the play for the loss. Sorry Detroit. It’s not the same thing. As for the NY POST….. It’s a rag of a newspaper that never had a good sports section. The only use for this paper is to start a fire or line a birdcage. The Islanders and the Rangers are playing great hockey but the Cowboys are on their back page. The Post sucks.
